Compliance

Licensed clubs are subject to Compliance Requirements as outlined in each club’s Funding Agreement.

The level of compliance imposed on your club is influenced by the Club Tier.

Generally there are two types of compliance:

1. Commercial compliance is an annual form of compliance consisting of three rounds and is relevant to all clubs throughout QLD.

The three rounds of commercial compliance are due on the following dates:

  • Round 1: 15 July;
  • Round 2: 30 September; and
  • Round 3: 31 January.

For Tier 4 clubs, only Round 2 and Round 3 are applicable commercial compliance requirements. Rounds are due as noted above.

2. Operational compliance is an obligation of the Tier 1,2 and 3 clubs and consists of monthly reporting requirements.

This monthly program ensures these clubs keep their financial information up-to-date as well as giving RQ the timely oversight it needs to:

  • Monitor club financial performance;
  • Track industry trends throughout the year;
  • Identify “At risk” clubs on a timely basis; and
  • Make other informed decisions from time to time.

Did you know making a donation may require rq approval?

It is a Racing Act (2002) requirement that clubs wishing to make a charitable donation seek approval from RQ (Control Body) prior to making such payments.

For the purpose of administering this requirement, clubs wishing to make donations over $5,000 for the benefit of any single entity in a financial year must seek prior written approval from RQ.

Applications should be made via Race Cube. RQ will process the application and notify you of the outcome.
