Human Resourcing
The following resources aim to guide clubs in navigating employment, volunteer and tax related matters.
workplace relations
The Fair Work Commission provides awards specific to the racing industry and race clubs. The latest version of these awards can be found on the Commonwealth Fair Work website under Racing Clubs Event Award (MA000013), Racing Industry Ground Maintenance Award (MA000014) and the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award (MA000058).
A useful resource for those clubs that are a member of Clubs Queensland is their online workplace relations section containing a range of employer support tools and guides.
Volunteering
Did you know that there is a Personal Accident Insurance policy that offers cover to volunteers of all licensed thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing clubs in Queensland?
Cover under this policy applies whilst a person is engaged in voluntary work, provided that the voluntary work is officially organised by and under the control of the Policy holder.
A Copy of the Certificate of Currency can be found here.
