For many clubs, sponsorship is a significant portion of their total revenue and is essential to their operations. The level of sponsorship received may indicate the club's integration and standing within local and corporate communities.
In the current environment, the market for sponsorship dollars is as competitive as ever. Clubs should carefully consider their value proposition and clearly articulate the benefits that come with any prospective partnership.
A successful sponsorship arrangement should see both parties benefit from the arrangement. The club will receive financial or in-kind support and the sponsor will receive advertising and brand exposure, hospitality arrangements and kudos from being associated with the club/race event.
